We have been super busy lately, I am not sure what we have been doing but I am certain that I haven't had a free moment in a long time. We spent a fun afternoon making turkey cupcakes with the kids friends, we enjoyed a visit with Great Grandma and Grandpa Ashment, We made homemade pizzas with the little chefs creating their own, Chad took a fishing trip and caught TONS of fish, and we are still trying to adjust to having a baby in the house again. Life is crazy but FABULOUS!
I wanted to take a second to write about Mason. Mason is a monster! The other day he managed to clog the toilet, stick his hands in it after he finished going, write on the bathroom wall with colored pencils, dump an entire box of lucky charms on the kitchen floor, scale to the top shelf of the pantry and knock down the Halloween candy buckets, smash a powdered sugar donut into a million pieces and make both his brother and his sister cry, all before 11 o'clock in the morning! YIKES!! But on the other hand he is so cute! He has said the funniest things lately. Here are a few worth remembering!
He was sitting on the couch holding a bookmark that had a picture of Christ on it. I was in the kitchen and I could here him talking, "I don't want to go to nursery Jesus!" I thought it was so sweet that he was talking to Jesus. Maybe not so sweet that he hates nursery, unless Chad or I are in there with him, but sweet.
Then we were on the way to take Hadley to preschool and he spotted this big rather ugly looking white silo type building and he started screaming. . . "I see the temple, i see the temple!" He insisted it was the temple. That and every church that we drive past.
Another time he was watching ice age and during the part where the dodo birds chant, "Doom on you. . .Doom on you" I could here him chanting right along, "BYU. . . BYU. . .BYU. . ."! He may be slightly brainwashed but it was funny. I need to video him singing the BYU fight song, it is awesome!
Yesterday he was in the shower with me. I went to wash his hair and he started crying, "I don't want my hair washed, I don't like shampoop!" Hahaha!!
He also hates to be called hunny, I will say, "Come here hunny" and he will say, "No, I NOT hunny, I Mason!!"
Lastly when we were driving on one of our many errand running days I overheard him talking to himself. He was being a super hero. He said, "I going to destroy that monster with my missionary power!" Oh dear, I guess I better do a better job explaining what kind of powers missionaries have!
He really does make me smile, he makes me scream too, but at least they kind of balance out!
A few things from the other kids also, Dax was really angry about who knows what and he came up to me complaining that no one ever plays with him. He then proceeded to tell me that if it looks like his brother and sister are playing with him it really isn't them it is probably just holograms of them! Really, holograms!! Where does this kid even come up with this stuff??
I loved Hadley's rendition of Deck the Halls. She sang, " Deck the falls with lots of holly, fa lalalala la la la la!"
They are great kids and I love spending my time with them. Thanks for the smiles guys, I love you!!
